David Lewis

David Lewis isn’t just another singer-songwriter. He’s a writer from his Arizona roots up, and it shows in his music. His songs are earthy, emotional and born of real-life experiences that started in boyhood and continued as he grew up on a dairy farm near Phoenix.

Folk, rock, country, pop and a touch of gospel — tasty seasonings of many musical styles make their way into a David Lewis tune. In 2000, Lewis released his first self-penned, self-produced labor of love, Rocking Chair, and filled it with 12 of his many fine originals. The CD provides excellent samples of the kind of listening that makes folks want to explore some of their own feelings, get up and dance, or just sit back and enjoy.

Recently called “the Singing Dentist” by one television interviewer, Dr. David Lewis, D.D.S., is indeed a graduate of UCLA’s dental school and is still actively practicing as a dentist. In 2007, Lewis put his two careers together in a comedic album called Drill, Fill and Bill, a zany musical tribute to dentistry. He sang and played all instruments on the CD and also produced music videos from the project for posting on YouTube and his own website, DavidLewisSongs.com.
